Speech Clarity is only available when you are using a Roku audio device running Roku OS 9.2.6 or higher. You can find the software version by visiting Settings > System > About. Your Roku audio device checks for an update every 24-36 hours or you can manually check for a software update if needed.

When streaming a movie, TV show, music, or Bluetooth® audio, you can enable Speech Clarity during playback from the options menu as described below.

is assigned a different function meaning it will not open the options menu as described above. In these cases, you must launch a different channel, such as The Roku Channel, and follow the steps above. Once the volume mode is switched, the setting will remain when you return to the original channel.
