How to receive push notifications
When you install the Roku mobile app, tap “OK” or “Allow” on your smartphone when prompted to begin receiving notifications.
Notifications will pop up on your smartphone similar to text messages or notifications from other mobile apps. When you tap a notification, the Roku mobile app launches automatically and takes you directly to the appropriate place where you can learn more about the alert, or find out how to watch the movie or TV show.
Where to find missed notifications
Recent notifications you may have missed can be viewed from Settings in the mobile app.
- Launch the mobile app
- Tap the User icon
from the top navigation bar - Tap Notifications to view your recent notifications
How to turn off notifications
If you decide you no longer want to receive notifications from the Roku mobile app, you can turn off notifications from Settings in the mobile app.
- Launch the mobile app
- Tap the User icon
from the top navigation bar - Tap Manage Push Notifications
- Toggle the All Notifications button to turn off all notifications, or toggle the button next to other choices to turn off select notifications
