You will encounter error 022, "The Long Range Wireless Receiver must be connected to the Device Name to work properly," if your Roku Streaming Stick+ or Roku Streaming Stick+ (model 3810X) is not connected to a power source with the USB cable that came with the device. This cable has a built-in wireless receiver that helps reduce interference for a faster, more reliable connection.
What to do
- Unplug your player from the third-party USB cable you are using to connect to a power source.
- Connect the USB cable with the Long Range Wireless Receiver to your Roku Streaming Stick, then plug the other end into a power source.
- You device will power on and should connect to the network.
Note: If you have not previously connected your Roku player to Wi-Fi, you must do so in the Settings menu to continue.
