To help protect you and your Roku account, we have added two-step verification (also known as two-factor authentication or 2FA) as an extra layer of security for your Roku account.
Before you can sign in to your Roku account, you’ll get an email with a 6-digit code sent to the address associated with your Roku account. Use the 6-digit code in the email to complete the two-step verification process.
You can see which email address you have used with your Roku account to register your Roku device under the Settings menu of your Roku device: Settings > System > About. If you can't remember your email address or password, here's how to find or reset your email address and password.
You may be asked to create a new, unique password once you’ve completed the two-step verification process. To help keep your account secure, remember to use strong passwords, and use different passwords for each of your accounts.
If you don't receive the verification email, you may:
If you can’t access the verification email or use a streaming device ID, you won’t be able to sign in to your Roku account. Contact Roku Customer Support to change your email address and have a Forgot Password email sent to your new email address. You must be able to confirm the information on your Roku account with the Roku Customer Support Team to make this change.
Two-step verification is available in the Roku Smart Home app. It adds an extra layer of security to your account and helps keep your devices secure. Learn more about how to enable two-factor verification on the Roku Smart Home app.
