You will need the following to set up and user your Roku HD player (models N1000 and N1100):

1. Television – A high definition (preferred) or standard definition TV that has:
     - An HDMI port using an HDMI cable for both video and audio
       or
     - Component video (Y, Pb, and Pr) ports using a component video cable (green, blue, and red connectors) and an audio cable (red and white connectors)
       or
     - Composite video port using a composite video cable (yellow connector) and an audio cable (red and white connectors)

2. Network
     - Wi-Fi 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11n wireless network
       or
     - 10/100BASE-T Ethernet network using an Ethernet cable
       plus
     - A broadband Internet connection with a minimum download speed of 1.2 Mbps.

3. Video/audio cables
     - HDMI cable (recommended)
       or
     - Component video cable and analog stereo or optical digital audio cable
       or
     - Composite video cable and analog stereo or optical digital audio cable (included)

4. Roku account
     - You can set one up at https://owner.roku.com/Account/Create/. Otherwise, you will be prompted to create one during guided setup.
