Setting up a Roku Streaming Stick is simple, with just a couple of things to determine beforehand.
Wireless Network:
The Roku Streaming Stick is wireless only. Before connecting to your router, make sure you know your wireless network name (SSID) and your wireless security password (if you use one).
Step 1: Firmware
Ensure your Hitachi has the latest firmware before installing the Roku Streaming Stick. Please refer to the Hitachi Installation Guide for instructions.
Step 2: Identify the MHL port
For this specific model, it will be the port labeled “MHL” in purple.
Step 3: Connect to your TV
Insert the Roku Streaming Stick into the MHL port. Ensure it is properly seated.
Step 4: Power on your TV
Turn on your TV. Notice the LED at the end of the Roku Streaming Stick begins to flash. This indicates the MHL port is powering the Roku Streaming Stick. The Roku Streaming Stick will boot up and display the following sequence of screens:
Step 5: Complete the guided setup
Just follow the on-screen instructions.
Once linked, your Roku player will download all the channels in your Roku account. After the channels how been downloaded, the Roku player will refresh to a “Setup is complete!” screen and be ready for streaming.
