All Roku players support both standard and widescreen TV formats. The Roku SD player can connect to virtually any TV with composite (red/white/yellow) A/V inputs.

The new Roku XDS can connect to TVs with HDMI, component (red/green/blue) or composite (red/white/yellow) inputs. Component connections on the Roku XDS require a custom cable available on roku.com.

The new Roku XD and new Roku HD can connect to TVs with HDMI, or composite (red/white/yellow) inputs.

The classic Roku HD and Roku HD-XR players can connect to TVs with HDMI, component (red/green/blue), composite (red/white/yellow) or S-video inputs.

The classic Roku SD player can connect only to TVs with composite (red/white/yellow) A/V inputs. Almost all TVs have these inputs.

PLEASE NOTE: To take advantage of HD content available on Roku, you must use either HDMI or component.
