When connecting your Roku player to your TV, keep in mind some cables deliver better quality than other cables:

  • Best: A HDMI cable delivers both video and audio signals to your TV in one single cable. Supports up to 1080p playback.
  • Good: A composite RCA cable set for video (yellow) and stereo sound (red/white). Supports standard definition (SD) playback. This cable set is included with every Roku 2 player.

You can use either of the options above to connect your Roku player to your TV.  Remember to set your TV to the video input that matches the output used with the Roku player.
