You’ll be prompted to create a Roku account during guided setup. Your Roku player will provide a linking code that you’ll enter from any browser at roku.com/link. Alternatively, you can create an account here.
A Roku account is free. However, we ask for your payment information to provide you the convenience of making purchases from the Roku Channel Store on your TV. You will only be charged if you choose to make a purchase.
Accepted payment methods are either a credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover) or PayPal.
You can place a payment method on file by logging in to your Roku account from your browser – found at https://owner.roku.com/ and clicking “Add a payment method for Channel Store purchases” under “Payment Method”.
You may change or remove your payment method on file at any time by logging into your Roku account and clicking “Update” under “Payment Method”. Please keep in mind, you will not be able to make Channel Store purchases if your Roku account does not have a valid payment method.
